Since the UK seems to be obsessed with bringing back symbols of better times right now, it should be excited to hear that 44th US President Barack Obama is heading to Scotland next month.
Barry will be addressing business leaders and philanthropists at a fancy dinner at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on the 26th of May. Hosted by The Hunter Foundation, all profits from the dinner will go to Scottish youth charities.
Sir Tom Hunter, founder of The Hunter Foundation, commented:
“From the South Side of Chicago to the White House has been an epic, historic journey and it will be a true honour to hear that story from the man who made that journey.
We are both truly proud and delighted to be hosting the 44th President of the United States in Scotland at this event.”
If they try to sign him up as the new Scottish leader post-Indyref, I'm emigrating there immediately.
