Newcastle's Pilgrim Street Odeon has taken its final curtain call – and went out in true dramatic style by collapsing into the road.
It's been undergoing demolition since January, the local Chronicle reports, but late last night decided it wasn't going without a bang. A big one, presumably, as its frontage wobbled and fell, blocking the road.
Just saw the last of the old odeon on Pilgrim Street collapse into Pilgrim Street. Might be some traffic issues for a while... pic.twitter.com/XaUTq62Lek

We hear it's being replaced with a building called 'The Netflix.'
