The ultra-beautiful Samsung Galaxy S8 and its bigger sibling the S8 Plus are finally available to buy. It's been a long wait for Galaxy fans: the new phones are normally announced at Mobile World Congress in February and released shortly after. This time, because they wanted to get it spot on after the Note 7 SNAFU, we didn't get the launch until the end of March and the phone itself until almost May.
But oh boy, is it worth waiting for. The S8 is a stunning piece of engineering that makes even the S7 look like old hat. And the iPhone? Fuhgeddaboutit (although that might change when the next one launches: we hear the design's a bit special).
The S8 will cost you £689 and the Plus is £779. Yep, it's a lot, but higher-end iPhones are in the same region. Plus you're probably getting it on contract, or the contract-like Samsung Upgrade Programme, in which case you probably won't even notice.
Know what you will notice? That glorious screen. Drool.
