Commencing in 2015, construction is now well under way at both 14 acre sites. Large cranes dominate the skyline in the northwest portion of Disneyland, while Walt Disney World is being cleared at the south of the site.

The new parks are on track for completion in 2019, timed with the release of Star Wars Episode 9 - the final instalment of the current "Skywalker Saga" and trilogy.
