One of the great things about the 2010s is that a lot of great TV series arrive in the UK shortly after they air on the US, provided, of course, that the UK broadcaster is a) streaming-based or b) Sky. Rick & Morty is one such show, with each new episode arriving on Netflix six days after it airs in the US.
Not ideal, but an acceptable wait. Unless, of course, the US broadcaster decides to take a week off; which is what just happened.
Adult Swim airs the new episodes of Rick & Morty each Sunday night, but last night was an exception thanks to today being a public holiday in the US (specifically Labor Day). For that very reason Adult Swim aired a Rick & Morty marathon, and chose to save episode seven—aka The Ricklantis Mixup—for this Sunday (10th).
Because of the way these things work, the UK won't get that episode (labelled Tales from the Citadel for some reason) until next Saturday (16th). In bird culture, this is considered a dick move.
So there's your warning, lest you sit down all excited to enjoy a brand new adventure this Saturday. [Heavy]
