As he did for The Original Series, Juan Ortiz has undertaken the task of creating art for every episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. And we have eight of them here for your perusal.
You can see all 178 of Ortiz’s posters collected in Star Trek The Next Generation: The Art of Juan Ortiz, which came out this week. According to the press release, Ortiz was “inspired by indie-film and black-light posters, comics and rock/punk culture,” which is really evident in some of these.
Below, see the art for “Conspiracy,” “Peak Performance,” “Allegiance,” “I, Borg,” “Starship Mine,” “The Pegasus,” “Eye of the Beholder,” and “Qpid.” The last one gets special mention for being less in the style of a B-movie poster and more the cover for a fashion magazine focusing on hats this month. I almost wish this idea wasn’t for an episode where an omnipotent being made them all wear hats and was for one where they visited a Planet of Hats, a trope Star Trek loves.
