The Real Main Character in Game of Thrones, According to Science

By Gizmodo Australia on at

Data science, that is.

All 200 Game of Thrones television series characters - from Littlefinger to Davos to Tobho to Lhara - have been studied to discover who is the main character of this series, really?

IMDB user ninewheels0 meticulously created this list by comparing the amount of time each character appears on screen.

With a grand total of 338 minutes and 15 seconds of screen time, your boy Jon Snow takes out the top spot. Tyrion Lannister comes in second place with 337 minutes of screen time and Daenerys Targaryen rounds out the top three with 276 minutes of her face on your telly.

Sansa Stark, Cersei Lannister and Arya Stark take out fourth, fifth and sixth place, while Jamie Lannister, Samwell Tarley, Jorah Mormont and Theon Greyjoy make up the rest of the top ten characters.

Rhaegar Targaryen takes out last place, with a measly 15 seconds of screen time.
