Since it's December Already, Here are Royal Mail's Last Postage Dates for This Christmas

The last month of the year is finally upon us, bringing with it advent calendars, Christmas music, and the crushing realisation that the country is going to grind to a halt in three weeks time. So it's time to start planning ahead, and part of that planning ahead might sending our presents to family and friends across the world.

So, to make sure everything arrives on time, here are Royal Mail's last postage dates for this year. If you stick to these, stuff you send out should arrive by December 23rd. Being a Sunday, Christmas Eve isn't set to have any deliveries this year.

UK Services

  • Wednesday 20th December: Second Class and Second Class Signed For
  • Thursday 21st December: First Class and First Class Signed For
  • Friday 22nd December: Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed

International Services

The economy postage deadlines for stuff leaving the country have already been and gone, but here are all the dates for International Standard and International Tracking & Signature Services. Below are the general specifics, but if you want a more detailed list, click here.

  • Saturday 2nd December

Africa and the Middle East

  • Wednesday 6th December

Asia, Cyprus, Far East, and Eastern Europe (except Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia)

  • Thursday 7th December

South America and the Caribbean

  • Saturday 9th December

Australia, Greece, New Zealand, and Turkey

  • Wednesday 13th December

Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, and Poland

  • Thursday 14th December

Canada, Finland, Sweden, USA

  • Friday 15th December

Austria, Denmark, Iceland, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, and Switzerland

  • Saturday 16th December

Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg

So don't miss your chance to get stuff sent out on time! If you're late, the earliest they'll arrive is 27h December.
