It's not quite the same one as in the movies, but Yorkshire is getting its own Jurassic World — and nature documentary legend David Attenborough is heading up to officially open it.
The Yorkshire Museum, a gallery showcasing historical, archaeological, natural and art displays, is opening a brand new exhibition in March — Yorkshire's Jurassic World. The exhibit will explore the history of the Jurassic period through recreated displays, skeletal remains and VR headsets.
The exhibition will officially open on Friday, 23rd March, when Sir David Attenborough will be attending the opening ceremony. About the event, Sir Attenborough said, "I am delighted to be coming to York to open Yorkshire's Jurassic World... I am looking forward to to coming to see the internationally significant collections and also to experience the technology which is helping to bring these magnificent creatures to life in new and imaginative ways."
If you're a member of York Museums Trust, you can enter a competition to win a pair of VIP tickets and meet Sir David himself. For more information about the competition and about the Jurassic World exhibition, visit the Yorkshire Museum website. [Yorkshire Museum]
