It isn't yet clear which areas are affected yet, but EE has acknowledged the problem, saying on its network status page:
"Some customers are experiencing problems when trying to use data services this morning. We are aware of this, and are working to resolve this as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
Update, 10.10am: EE reached out to us to provide the following statement:
“We’re aware of a data issue affecting some internet services for some of our customers. Phone calls and text messages are not affected in any way and are working as normal. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we’re working to fix the issue as quickly as possible.
Update, 10.50am: Well, the issue is now fixed. Here's the latest update direct from EE:
“We’ve fixed a technical issue that affected mobile internet services for some of our customers this morning. All services are now being restored for our customers and should be back to normal soon. We’d like to thank our customers for their patience while we fixed this issue, and we apologise for any inconvenience.”
