Vodafone Promises Money Off If Your Broadband Speed Isn't Fast Enough

If you've got Superfast home broadband with Vodafone, one of two things is likely to happen on 1st March: one, your speed is going to increase, or two, you're going to get 15% off your monthly bill. It's kind of a win/win situation.

On Vodafone's Superfast 1 and Superfast 2 broadband packages, the company is offering a guaranteed minimum speed — and if your connection doesn't reach that minimum speed, it'll knock a 15% discount off your bill. Superfast 1 package has a minimum guaranteed speed of 25Mbps, and Superfast 2 has a guaranteed speed of 55Mbps. Fall short of those benchmarks on the relevant tariff, and you'll be quids in.

The CEO of Vodafone UK, Nick Jeffrey, says of the new guarantee: "Customers want guaranteed broadband speeds they can rely on. That's why we are launching the ultimate speed guarantee."

The same guarantee applies to new customers on either of those tariffs too, and it also applies to small business plans, Essentials Superfast Broadband and Premium Superfast Broadband. Bear in mind, though, it's the sync speed that's guaranteed — i.e. the speed that reaches your router — not how fast your download speed is on your laptop/PC/games console.
