Lego's Latest Creator Expert Set is a Giant Rollercoaster

By Kim Snaith on at

There seems to have been an influx of new Lego sets announced in the last few weeks. The most exciting, though, has got to be the latest Creator Expert set: a 4,124 piece roller coaster that's half a metre tall and nearly a metre wide. It's epic. Look:

Impressively, it's got a fully-functioning chain lift mechanism, so your minifigs can have the time of their plastic lives on a rollercoaster that actually travels around the track. There's 11 minifigures included in the set – all with modern, expressionate faces, which we're glad to see in an Expert build. Along with the rollercoaster, there're a bunch of nifty little touches too, including a candy floss cart, a concession stand, a park map, and a seating area.

Of course, all this doesn't come cheap. It'll retail at £299.99, making it one of the more expensive Expert sets out there. But for over 4,000 pieces and 11 minifigs, it's a reasonable brick-to-pound ratio comparable with many other sets. And just look how cool it looks.

It's set to release on 1st June 2018 exclusive to Lego stores and the Lego website, so be sure to add it to your wishlist. If you've already got the Lego carousel and ferris wheel sets, then clearly it's a no-brainer to complete your Lego theme park attraction. Just make sure you've got the space.
