We're in the run up to the launch of the OnePlus 6, which rumours have suggested might be officially unveiled at the end of the month. Given this is the next big phone release on the way (that we know of), there are plenty of rumours and leaks hitting the net in the run-up. The latest is what appears to be an Indian advert for the phone, and in typical marketing fashion the footage is completely abstract and just barely relates back to the phone in question.

The advert doesn't reveal anything other than an emphasis on speed, which we already knew, and that the phone will be an Amazon Prime Exclusive in India - which is where this advert came from. Presumably that won't be the case here, and means people in the UK will likely be going through the usual channels. Buying direct from OnePlus, via the networks, and so on.
OnePlus itself isn't beyond teasing the world about what it has planned either, taking to Twitter to hint the phone will have waterproofing of some kind. Or at the very least a display that still works when it's wet.
Don’t you just hate it when you have to stop using your phone when it rains? So do we 😉 pic.twitter.com/QEnOdm3Xtk

If it does have some sort of waterproofing, the OnePlus 6 would be the first OnePlus handset that could handle a tumble into the kitchen sink. A waterproof phone is nothing new, they've been around for years after all, but the last few years have seen phone makers jump on the chance to seal up their phones and protect them from the elements. Coincidentally this started happening shortly after Apple jumped onto the bandwagon, but I'm sure that has nothing to do with it. You can't really set a trend when you're right in the middle of the adoption timeline.
Other things we know about the upcoming handset so far include a post-launch software update that will hide the phone's notch (also it has a notch), and that the phone will include the 3.5mm headphone jack. Rumours suggest it'll come with a 6.2-inch bezel-free display, 6-8GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 845 chipset, and up to 256GB of storage. [BGR | TechRadar]
