Leaked Box Image Gives Us Our First Look at the Avengers-Themed OnePlus 6

By Tom Pritchard on at

For a while now there have been murmurs that OnePlus would be releasing an Avengers-themed version of the OnePlus 6, and now a leaked image of the box seems to give us our first look at what the device might involve. Even if we don't get to see how different the phone might be to the base OnePlus 6 model just yet.

The image comes courtesy of Slashleaks, and was allegedly found on a Facebook page that's now vanished. It's speculated that the hasty takedown means the box is the real thing, though until we find out from OnePlus itself we can't be 100 per cent certain of that fact.

As you can see the box isn't all that special. It's just a black box with a shiny Avengers logo and OnePlus branding on it. Hopefully the phone will have something that makes it more distinctive - whatever it may be.

It's already been confirmed that the Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 is coming, thanks to a trailer posted in India last month by OnePlus. Sadly the trailer didn't make any distinction between it and the phone we've been seeing in the form of scattered rumours and leaks.

All we really know right now is that the Avengers-themed device is apparently an Indian exclusive, though you can bet there will be models available from third-party resellers in this country - presumably with a hefty markup.

The OnePlus 6 itself is set to launch on 16th May, ready for an initial release at OnePlus pop-up stores across the world. We don't know anything about a general release just yet, but it probably won't be a long wait. As for the phone itself we know that it definitely has a headphone jack and screen notch, with an emphasis on speed. Leaked images have also suggest it's around the same size as the OnePlus 5T, albeit with minimal bezels that offer a much larger screen. [Slashleaks via Trusted Reviews]
