Avengers: Infinity War has been out for nearly three weeks, and it's already broke a string of box office records as people flock to see the Avengers take on Thanos. It's strange that Marvel would need to partner with a phone company for marketing reasons, but it's happened. Now that the OnePlus 6 has been unveiled, we get to see exactly what the Avengers Edition variant has to offer.
It's worth mentioning right now that the chances of getting your hands on this are quite small. Everything we've heard this far points towards the Avengers-themed phone being an Indian exclusive, much like the Star Wars themed OnePlus 5T. While the official announcement was made for China, pointing to the phone releasing there, OnePlus has yet to say where and when the limited edition variant will be available. Unfortunately, until it says otherwise, it's probably best to assume this won't be hitting the UK in an official capacity. You'll have to trawl eBay and other reseller sites if you have your heart set on this particular model.
The phone itself is the 8GB OnePlus 6 model with 256GB of storage, a Kevlar-style pattern on the back, and a gold Avengers logo. Other than that it's no different than the regular OnePlus 6, and doesn't have any special features. An 'Avengers Alliance' pack does, however, come with a case shaped like Iron Man's helmet, and a golden Avengers medallion. Price-wise it's revealed to be 4,199 yuan, which converts to around £488. That's only £19 more than the 6GB/64GB OnePlus 6, which makes this a surprisingly good deal. That said, if this does get an official UK release, I wouldn't expect such a low price point seeing as how the regular 8GB/256GB phone is £569.
