Lego's 6,020 Piece Hogwarts is a Harry Potter Fan's Dream Set

By Tom Pritchard on at

Lego has a large number of Harry Potter themed sets coming next week, including a miniature version of Hogwarts with it's own Great Hall inside. But there's a better one on the way. A proper Hogwarts that's been on the wishlist of every harry Potter fan since the very first Potter-themed Lego sets came out all those years ago. And it'll arrive on 15th August.

The 6,020 piece set comes with a number of key locations from the Potter series. That includes the Great Hall, the Chamber of Secrets, Dumbledore's Office, the path to the Philosopher's Stone, Hagrid's Hut, and more.

It also comes with 27 microfigures of the film's various characters (not minifigures, sadly) including Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Dumbledore. No mention of Hagrid, though I imagine he'd need a special figure that lies somewhere in between the mini and microfigs. That said it comes with exclusive minifgures of the four Hogwarts founders (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin) along with a buildable dragon (the Hungarian Horntail), Basilisk, and Aragog.

As if the piece count didn't tell you this already, this is a big set. It's 58cm high, 69cm wide, and 43cm deep, so you better make some room on one of the flat surfaces in your house.

The new Hogwarts set costs £350 and will arrive on general sale on 1st September. Lego VIPs will be able to get it early, as usual, on 15th August.
