Uber Eats Offers Free Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 with Fish & Chips

By Holly Brockwell on at

In a special offer that could only happen in the UK, Uber Eats is offering free download codes for the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 with fish and chip dinners ordered from the app. In very specific places, anyway.

Here's how you get one:

1. On Friday 12th October, log into Uber Eats

2. Choose a Harry Ramsden's restaurant in either Manchester Trafford, Birmingham Arena or London Victoria (yes, it's only those three in the whole country, sorry)

3. Order the 'cod for COD' bundle, which is a regular cod and chips and will apparently cost less than £10

4. Get your fish and download code delivered to your door.

Uber Eats explained the offer thusly:

“We know that gamers are hungry for any competitive advantage, so stopping to cook or go to the shops for food isn’t always an option. We wouldn’t want them to lose out from having to think about dinner with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 just released, so we decided to provide portions of cod and chips, along with the game to give them more time to play.”

It definitely is 100% about that and not at all a PR stunt involving a fairly weak pun.

Still, if you happen to be in one of those Uber-specific (geddit) areas, that's a pretty good bargain. Enjoy your dinner, you jammy git.
