OnePlus is doing absolutely everything it can to grab headlines for its new flagship, including breaking a Guinness World Record.
The smartphone firm has just taken the record for the highest number of simultaneous phone unboxings, with 559 people in India unpacking their new OnePlus 6T handsets at an event in Mumbai.
The unboxers are some of the first people in the world to get the new phone: the attempt was made on the 1st of November, the day after the official launch event but five days before the phone actually goes on sale on 6th November. The record was confirmed a few days later, and is now official.
Here in the UK, the pop-up store on Bond Street in London saw over 800 phone fans turn up from 5am to queue to buy the phone and get it signed by brand founder Carl Pei. A strange way to spend your Halloween, but you do you.
"Thank you to everyone who took part in the launch of the OnePlus 6T. You are a huge inspiration to us and to see thousands of you travel to our launch in New York and visit our Pop-Ups around the world is amazing to see.
Whether it was queuing in the rain in Spain, or almost closing a corner of Times Square, your passion and support was there for everyone to see. Our team has put a huge amount of work into making OnePlus 6T the best device ever, and we hope you enjoy using it."
