Still rocking the OnePlus 5 or 5T? Can't say we blame you, it's an excellent phone, and OnePlus handsets just don't seem to deteriorate over time the way others do.

The two phones will be receiving the update to Android Pie over the next few days, according to a post on the official OnePlus forums:

We are very excited to announce that the pie has been baked! And ready to be rolled out for OnePlus 5 and 5T this [sic] our first official Android™ 9 Pie™ OTA update for the OnePlus 5 and 5T.

There's been an open beta for a while now, and OnePlus expressed thanks to the beta testers who helped them get the update ready.

The OTA (over-the-air) update is rolling out in stages, so if you don't have it yet, you will soon. And you can be smug in the knowledge you're getting it around the same time as Samsung's S9 and S9+, still their current flagships. [Engadget]
