Percy Pig Gets A Makeover For The Year Of The Pig

By Holly Brockwell on at

2019 is the Chinese year of the pig, and M&S has wasted no time in capitalising on that fact by giving a much-loved Percy Pig snack a makeover.

There are now approximately 90 gabillion varieties of Percy sweets, including Percy's grandparents, children, and wife (that's right, he got married last year, much to the consternation of someone at Metro). While it does seem slightly macabre that you can basically eat every member of Percy's family, we're not here to judge.

The snack that's been chosen for the Queer Sty treatment is Percy's Phizzy Pig Tails, which are little curly pig tails made out of sour berry juice and fizz.

This is the new packaging:

And this is the old:

Because as you can see, it is in fact an existing snack that's been repackaged, and not in fact a brand new Percy line as reported by many outlets today (Percy Pig is big news, don'tcha know).

Phizzy Pig Tails normally cost £1.65 a pack, but they're currently on offer for two for £3. Just the kind of snack saving we need now that Freddos are back to full price. [Metro]
