Now TV is Doing a Limited Edition Formula 1 Season Ticket (Updated)

By Holly Brockwell on at

Update: Sky has apparently pushed this offer back to 5th of March, and never bothered to tell anyone. So those of you who've been looking for discounted sports, and couldn't find this offer, now have your answer. Thanks, Sky.

Being a sports fan can be expensive, especially in the UK (because everything's expensive in the UK). So Formula 1 fans will be pleased to hear they can potentially save some pounds with Now TV's latest package: a limited-edition Formula 1 Season Ticket.

It's not cheap, but it is cheapER.

At £195 for 9 months, the deal is almost 50% off the RRP (we did not know TV packages had RRPs) and works out to a fiver a week. Which doesn't sound bad at all, considering the amount of entertainment you get.

However, you don't get to pay weekly – you have to give them the whole £195 upfront. Which makes the "cancel anytime!" inducement a bit less enticing – presumably you get none of the money back if you do.

For said money, you get to watch every race live for all 21 race weekends, as well as streaming Sky Sports F1 and 10 other live Sky Sports channels. Presenters include racing legends like Jenson Button, Damon Hill and Nico Rosberg.

Says Now TV:

"Follow every race, all the way from the first practice session in Australia on the 15th March, to the final Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi on 1 December, as Lewis Hamilton looks to land a sixth world championship."

The Season Ticket is only available to over-18s, and after the 9 month period, it'll automatically renew as a Sky Sports Month Pass (£33.99 a month), so remember to cancel if you don't want that.

The deal opens on the 2nd of March, which sounds a long way away but is actually this Saturday. It runs until the 31st of May, with the season kicking off on the 15th of March.

You'll be able to sign up here from the 2nd.
