Pupil Hacks Google Maps to Label School "Hell on Earth"

You'd expect pupils of Hornsea School and Language College to be a little better behaved than this, but no. A child, or perhaps a disgruntled former janitor, managed to submit a name change for the facility to Google Maps, causing it to appear online under the name Hornsea Prison and Hell on Earth.

The school says it knows who did it, so they're in trouble. If indeed you can get in trouble for something probably done at home on a 2013 iPad. It has since been changed back so no harm was done, and no prisoners were accidentally delivered to the school in any hilarious mixups.

A Google spokesperson told the BBC: "Allowing users to suggest information provides comprehensive and up-to-date info, but we recognise there may be occasional inaccuracies suggested by users. When this happens, we do our best to address the issue as quickly as possible."

But more importantly, anyone ever been to Wetwang? [BBC]
