Utility Firm Warns Against Flushing Yorkshire Puddings

By Gary Cutlack on at

Water supplier Anglian Water has uncovered a unique take on the modern phenomenon of the fatberg, after workers found a drain that had been entirely blocked by what appeared to be a mass of Yorkshire puddings.

This is not a case of some leftovers being mashed down the kitchen sink after dinner either, as the photos show entirely intact shelves of puddings; meaning they were almost certainly flushed down a toilet whole, as not even the most commited of dieters would bother going outside and lifting a drain cover to dispose of their unwanted carbohydrates.

Anglian Water has now hosed the Ipswich sewer clean of the pudding, and is asking locals not to do it again. [Sky News]
