If you've been hankering after a Google Home Max with its booming sound capabilities and self-adjusting acoustics, today is your lucky day: it's been temporarily slashed from £399 to £199 on the Google Store.
Unlike most discounts these days, Google's price cut isn't a celebration of any particular consumer holiday — it's almost suspiciously random. Too much stock? A new model on the way? Who knows.
What we do know is that if you order a Google Home Max in either Chalk or Charcoal (that's whiteish or greyish to you and me) from the Google Store, you'll get £200 off.
However, you haven't got long to take advantage of the offer — it ends on Tuesday the 5th of March (that's tomorrow if you're reading this today, or today if you're reading this tomorrow) at a distinctly random 7:59am. So, basically, unless you want to get up early to snag the deal, you're best off buying today.
There's no comparable deal in the US, so we're assuming this is probably a case of slow sales / too much stock, but either way, if you've been considering one of these, now's the time.
