Today is St. David's Day, the annual holiday (though sadly not in the day-off-work sense) for Wales's own patron saint.
To celebrate the guy who is best known for making a new hill in a literal country of hills, Nando's is giving anyone called David a free bottle of Peri-Peri sauce.
However, it's only in Welsh branches (bit harsh on all the ex-pats to the rest of the UK), only for over-16s, and you have to spend £7 to qualify.
You will also have to show ID to prove your name is actually David, because people are terrible.
On the bright side, you get a fancypants limited edition St. David's Day bottle with your name on it, and you still qualify if your name is a derivation of David – like Dai, Dafydd, Dewi, Dafina or Davina. Which is quite a lot of people across the whole of Wales. Hence the minimum spend, we guess.
Apparently, Welsh Nando's branches will only have a limited number of bottles each, so try to be the fastest David on your block if you want one. And you don't qualify if you work there or are connected to Nando's in some way. Sorry, chickens. [Metro]
