Don't you just hate it when your bottle of Coke gets warm in the blazing summer sun we occasionally get here? And that when you're done drinking, you're left lugging around an empty plastic bottle? Well, not any more, because Coca Cola's just started making bottles entirely out of ice. Read More >>

Sharing a drink with someone when they can take a sip from the other side of your glass is reasonably acceptable. But that's just not possible with a canned beverage. You either agree to share their germs, or refuse to share at all. It's an age-old conundrum that Coca-Cola has finally solved with a two-in-one can that twists apart to make sharing easy. I have so many questions about being able to filter water out of coke. I don't even care why. But does it taste like Coke-flavoured water? Or water-flavoured coke? Or maybe even just carbonated sugar water without the cola? The guy makes it seem like it tastes disgusting, and that's the complete opposite of Coca Cola. Does that mean Crystal Pepsi is hiding inside Coke? Read More >>

So it did the job perfectly with Coke." More »
It always seemed like a scare tactic that fat fearing parents would tell their sugar loving kids: if you drink too much Coke, you could die! (okay, maybe in a not so morbid way) But a woman actually died from drinking too much Coke. The coroner blamed the 30-year-old woman's 10L-a-day Coke problem — as in Coca Cola — as the reason for her death. Read More >>
If you ever wondered how orange juice can always taste so damn perfect every time you have it, it's because of an algorithm. Coca Cola, which makes Simply Orange and Minute Maid, has an algorithm called the "Black Book" which allows it to standardize Mother Nature. It's crazy. Read More >>

Coca-Cola has long been associated with the holidays: from polar bears with questionable diets, to the myth that the company created our modern image of the man in red. But this year the company's Christmas marketing efforts completely miss the mark. Instead of turning caffeine addicts into spies for a free bottle of sugar water, Coke vending machines in Europe are giving out free soda in exchange for karaoked Christmas carols. Read More >>
Soft drink-flavoured snacks sound like something invented by a lazy stoner, but apparently chicken wings cooked in Coca-Cola are a popular comfort food in China. So hey, the fact that Pepsi Chicken-flavoured crisps are launching over there isn't that surprising. Read More >>
More and more companies are getting on board this whole ‘truth in advertising’ push, including Coca-Cola who’ve posted this online calculator on its UK site that figures out how much exercise you’ll need to shed that sugar water. Most marketing stunts are just plain annoying, but every once in a while one comes along that doesn't make you completely hate the company behind it. Such is the case with this cross-promotion for Coke Zero and the new James Bond movie, Skyfall, which turned unsuspecting travelers into James Bond for one very exciting minute. Read More >>
Tim Greenhalgh of FITCH writes... "Design is everywhere, and there is almost nothing that you use or see everyday that has, in fact, not been designed in some way...but is it great? For me, great design makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand to attention – it’s transformational and makes you view the regular world around you in a totally new way. It's remarkable because after seeing it, you want to tell someone/everyone about it: ”have you seen…!” Read More >>

Unlike their main competitor, Pepsi, Coca-Cola have kept the same classic logo ever since their inception in 1885! They have however changed a few things along the way. Particularly the design of their bottles and cans. The bottle design that most of us recognise was praised by none other than Andy Warhol, as "a design icon". We take a look at the morphology of the fizzy stuff over the years. Read More >>

I once loved everything about soda / pop / cool drink / whatever you call those cans of amazing refreshing, sweet bubbles—it is magic in liquid form. But of course it comes with the cost of ridiculous amounts of sugar and calories. So I cut back. But for people who don't cut back on the stuff? Watch out.
