Wearing Google Glass might make you look weird but it's certainly a lot better than any of the prototypes that Google first tried out. Google Project Glass Staff Hardware Engineer Jean Wang showed off a slide revealing the earliest prototypes of Glass and they're a lot bulkier with open ribbons, chips, gigantic cameras and more. You'd look like a total robot wearing these. Read More >>

Right now, Google Glass is just a pair of weird-looking specs that are pretty much only used to take blurry photos and Instagram selfies. And that's okay! The real promise is what comes next. Developers have been getting their hands on Google Glass and have begun to see what they can build with it. It's the base for the future. Read More >>

Google Glass is weird. It's not quite like anything we've seen before. It's the best. It's the worst. It's polarising. This picture of a Google Glass-wearing tube-rider showed up on Twitter yesterday, and sparked a Buzzfeed article that posits Glass will just bring on more of the distraction it claims to alleviate. A glassblower's weapon of choice has been a simple blowpipe over 2,000 years now. It's a tried and true device. But that doesn't mean there's no room to jazz it up a little, and that's exactly what "Strange Symphony" does. Read More >>

Google Glass is capable of some amazing things. Just look at this first crop of videos shot wearing a them. But given how much damage you do to your eyes staring at screens in the first place, will Google Glass harm your eyes in the long run? In a word: no. Read More >>
Google Glass has plenty of folks a little scared of being recorded in secret, but saying "OK Glass" and the recording light are kind of a dead giveaway. But a rooted pair of specs? Those could be a creeper's dream. Read More >>

It's one thing to see what others are doing while wearing Glass but we've yet to see what the interface actually looks and behaves like. That is until now. Read More >>
William Gibson has long been known as something of a prophet, predicting everything from reality TV to "cyberspace" itself. Way back in 1981 AD, William Gibson imagined something very similar to Google Glass when he introduced us to Molly Millions, the badass cyborg with a screen-like digital eye augmentation. But we'd yet to see Gibson weigh in on Glass. Until now. Read More >>
When was the last time you winked? When was the last time you winked and didn't immediately regret it? It's probably been a while, but Google's aiming making winking cool again(?), by hard-coding some ;) functionality right into Glass. Read More >>
When a bomb explodes, you can't outmaneuver it; you probably can't even take cover quickly enough to protect yourself. Instead, you have to hope that there's something — anything — already in the way that can shield you from the blast. Here are five of the best future bomb-proof materials that could end up saving lives in our increasingly uncertain future. Read More >>

At first sight, the two logos above look so similar that you might think they're the same product. But are they? Nope. The image on the right is the logo for Google Glass, the futuristic glasses from Google that just arrived in the hands of the first lucky explorers. The image on the left, however, is the logo of a Spanish start-up based in LA and founded in 2008 that now is thinking about suing Google for coping its name, logo and typography. Read More >>
Even though we've seen Google Glass be leaked, be announced, be presented, be demoed, be worn, be used, and even be mocked, it's always represented some far off future technology that we never were sure if it would ever be real (in a 'I can't believe it's already here' kind of way). But it's totally happening guys. And this is what it looks like. Brandon Allgood got his hands on the Google Glass box and revealed what's inside the future. Read More >>
