A very ingenious new kind of high-tech scam has been going down in China, where clever thieves are returning fake iPhone components to Apple and claiming they're broken official parts, receiving genuine Apple-made pieces in return. And making a nice profit in the process. Read More >>
This might be a little bit too late, but Vodafone's warning iPhone users to steer clear of the latest iOS 6.1 update as it apparently causes issues with 3G data, texts and calls -- basically everything, then. Apparently Apple's working on a fix, but who knows how long that'll take. Read More >>

No, you don't need a damn case for your iPhone 5—but if you have butterfingers and you must use a case, this seems to me like the only acceptable one. The SurfacePad is not only simple and elegant—complementing the iPhone's design rather than turning it into an ugly hulk or a clear-plastic-wrapped granny sofa—but also has function. And it protects your screen too, unlike 99 per cent of the offensively horrible covers out there. Read More >>

Believe it or not, new Siri on iOS 6 might actually be useful in the UK, finally doing what you ask instead of spitting out the "Only in the US" rubbish we're used to. We took new Siri from the final, release version of iOS 6 for a quick test run, and put it up against crappy old, iOS 5 Siri. Read More >>
Though we won't get an official side-by-side comparisons of the camera in the iPhone 4S and the new iPhone 5 until we get our hands on it, this is about as close as it gets: Scott Everett, from Dpreview, took nearly the same picture of Big Sur that Apple has been using in its iPhone 5 sample gallery with his own iPhone 4S. It's the first head to head look of the camera in the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S. Read More >>
The iPhone 5 is tall and beautiful in all those Apple product shots, but how does it look compared to the iPhone 4S in real life? NYT's Jenna Worthman took this image, raw and unretouched, during the post-event hands-on session. Read More >>
On the face of it, not a lot is changing for the next generation iPhone, well, in design aesthetic at least. Which is great news for those of us stuck with an iPhone 4 or 4S, because you can turn it into a pretty convincing iPhone 5 with just a quick mod. Read More >>

Samsung and Apple are going head to head in court right now, so doesn't it make sense for the Galaxy S III and the iPhone 4S to go head to head behind a speeding car? OK, maybe it doesn't follow, but it's fun to watch. Read More >>
The latest installment in Apple's arsenal of celebrity Siri promos is here, featuring a very peppy Martin Scorsese headed downtown in a yellow NYC taxi. Marty makes the most of his time alone with his virtual assistant, switching around appointments and consulting her for the downtown traffic report. Read More >>

Apple busted out a lot of evolutionary features last night at WWDC, including iOS 6. Apple's ditched Google for its built-in Maps app on the iPhone, and finally brought turn-by-turn directions, plus a fancy new 3D "Flyover", but only if you've got an iPhone 4S. Read More >>
The Meta Watch was designed with hopes of breaking the curse of consumer apathy when it comes to smart watches. An Android-friendly version has actually been available to developers since the middle of last year, but thanks to a Bluetooth update, it's finally now compatible with iOS too. But is that enough to make you care? Read More >>
It was only a few days ago when we asked Siri the fateful question, "What's the best smartphone ever?", to which our faithful assistant replied with, er, the Nokia Lumia 900. But now, it seems Siri has the answer to that question with a varied amount of witty and humorous responses. Read More >>

Yet another device that smartphones, like the iPhone, have made obsolete are alarm clocks. The only minor issue being that you need some way to prop them up to check the time, and Bracketron's MetalDock does exactly that, with style. Read More >>
