You can never carry too many backup charging cables, and since you probably never leave home without your wallet, the ChargeCard is the perfect accessory for battery-sucking smartphones. It's only slightly thicker than a credit card, and lets you leech power from any available USB port. Read More >>

Along with the HTC One, a zillion new smartphones are going to be announced next week at Mobile World Congress, each promising camera advancements that may or may not live up to the hype. Before we get there, though, we wanted to take stock of how good the cameras are in the smartphones you can buy now. Here's how the flagships measure up. Read More >>

If you've got bugs in your products you'd assume the company who made them is going to fix them, but it's reassuring that Apple's come out and said it specifically. Apparently Cupertino's identified the bug that's killing iOS 6.1 iPhone batteries, and is in the process of crushing the life out of it. Meanwhile, here's what you have to do to stop it for now. There's no getting around the iPhone 5's abysmal battery life. It's by far the least desirable feature. Mophie hopes to change all that later this month when it starts shipping the Helium juice pack, the first "Certified Battery Case Solution" for the iPhone 5. Awesome, right? Read More >>

It may pain you to add girth to the iPhone 5's slender frame, but when a little more junk in your iPhone's trunk means double the battery life, it's hard to say no. The new Mophie Juice Pack Helium case promises to do just that and be about 13% lighter than the iPhone 4's Air version. Read More >>

The iPhone 5's longer screen is great, but not all your apps have been updated yet to support the extra pixels. The result is a boxed app, which isn't really an issue until you invoke the keyboard and it's halfway up the screen. FullForce for the iPhone 5 fixes that. Read More >>
After literally millions of people jumped on the super-simple Evasi0n jailbreak, and pretty much overwhelmed Cydia, the Evad3rs have been tracking down and squashing bugs like warring Trojans. No, you don't need a damn case for your iPhone 5—but if you have butterfingers and you must use a case, this seems to me like the only acceptable one. The SurfacePad is not only simple and elegant—complementing the iPhone's design rather than turning it into an ugly hulk or a clear-plastic-wrapped granny sofa—but also has function. And it protects your screen too, unlike 99 per cent of the offensively horrible covers out there. Read More >>
