Watch a Spinning Sewage Tube Slingshot Spit Ball Bearings

Of the many unique things about a rifle, the grooved (or "rifled") barrel that makes the bullet spin is key, ensuring that a bullet flight will be straight and stable. Joerg's slingshot cannons didn't have barrels at all, however, which is why his viewers called him out. Using a length of PVC pipe and a drill, he managed to build a fast spinning barrel that thus rotates the ball bearing projectile inside, even though the round ball would fly fine on its own. In Joerg's own words, "What is it good for? Nothing." Nothing!? Say that after you've used it to defend your home. [YouTube] Read More >>

Playing Darts Is So Much Easier With a Slingshot Sniper Rifle

Not satisfied with the dart-launching pistol he whipped up last year, Joerg Sprave went back to the drawing board and came up with a dart-shooting sniper rifle that all but guarantees him domination at his local pub's dartboard. Read More >>

Pencils Are Even More Deadly When They're Actually Steel Nails

The thing I appreciate about The Slingshot Channel is that it always brings projects two or three iterations past what I would ever think to pursue. The pencil shooter Joerg made last week was more of a curiosity. Not the most deadly thing we've seen by a long shot. See what I did there? Read More >>

This Compact Crossbow Is Quite Small

There's no governing body proclaiming this the world's smallest crossbow, but it's only slightly larger than a full-sized crossbow arrow so it's got to be up there. Our old pal Joerg designed this crossbow to be safe, with the arrow being fully encapsulated so it won't accidentally shoot off in an unexpected direction. Read More >>

Finally A Zombie-Fighting Toilet Brush Rifle With Scary Accuracy

As Joerg points out, toilet brushes tipped with nine inch nails are a much-beloved form of ammo on the Slingshot Channel. But the old toilet brush crossbows didn't really have a sighting system. So Joerg got serious and created a toilet brush sniper rifle, complete with telescopic sight, that can shoot with precision from 22 yards. Read More >>

"Brain Slicer" Arrowheads Sound Like The Most Legit Arrowheads

What's a casual way to start a video? How about a fun little opening introducing what you're going to do or make. You could say something like, "Arrows are normally a good way to pierce a skull, but I'm concerned that [they] may not destroy enough brain matter." Light hearted fun! Read More >>

This Axe Is Really Scary, and Then You Realise It Has A Slingshot Inside

This week Joerg invited some students from the Technical University of Munich to create general mayhem with him via a steel axe. But an axe by itself isn't menacing/relevant enough. It obviously has to double as a slingshot. And it does! The handle of the axe is hollow... Read More >>

A Rifle-Turned-Slingshot That Shoots Knives Is Terrifying

This week Joerg busted out a deactivated M16A1 rifle (which he obviously has) and turned it into a slingshot. The launcher band mounts on the underside of the rifle barrel, and the weapon shoots two Cold Steel "Hide Out" neck knives aka really scary/sharp little suckers. Read More >>

This Potato Bazooka Delivers the World's Most Fearsome Frozen Food

Any mischief-maker worth his property damage knows a thing or two about using spud-based projectile weaponry. Our good pal Joerg Sprave is no different, though his weapon of choice uses wood and rubber bands instead of PVC and hairspray. Read More >>

A SlingSword Is A Sword/Slingshot Hybrid For Fighting Zombies

Joerg Sprave is expanding his horizons and moving The Slingshot Channel into a new era, hiring blacksmith James Helm to help him make a small sword. Really, this demo is a relaxing break for all of us -- just some good old-fashioned coconut decapitation to test the blade. Refreshing! Oh, and the hilt of the sword also has a built-in slingshot. Baby steps. Read More >>

An M16-Based Crossbow Is a Truly Terrifying Thing

The M16A1 is an iconic gun, so it's no surprise that our favourite weapons designer Joerg Sprave fancied the idea of using one as the base of a crossbow. The result is rather terrifying. Read More >>

Weaponised Toilet Brushes Wipe Out Zombies and Hard Water Stains

Zombie or not, it's a good idea to never get on Joerg Sprave's bad side. Our favourite slingshot auteur can weaponise pretty much anything he gets his hands on. Equip Yourself With Slingshots For the Zombie Apocalypse

When you think about how you would deal with a zombie invasion, the weapons that come to mind probably don't include slingshots. But if the story of David and Goliath has taught us anything it's that slingshots are pretty deadly. Plus that whole underdog thing. Whatever. Read More >>
