The Apple rumour mill is already gearing up ahead of WWDC this year, with stock trackers the first line in the new-product guessing game. It seems big retailers like Amazon are running dry of MacBook Airs both in the US and UK, which whispers refresh to those in the know -- probably just with Haswell chips and Iris. Read More >>
Tim Cook might have mocked the idea of a convertible MacBook-come-tablet, but a recently awarded patent shows that at least Apple's thinking about the idea. Could Apple have an iPad-Macbook Air crossover to take on the Microsoft Surface Pro in the pipeline? Read More >>

Everyone's been making fun of the Surface Pro for being so stingy on hard drive space. The 128GB version of the Surface Pro only has 90GB of free space (originally reported to be 83GB but since boosted). Where the hell did the other 38 gigs go? Well, you could ask the same question to the 128GB version of the MacBook Air. The MBA only has 92GB of free space. What! Read More >>

After all, most if not all of our grandparents have used a typewriter at one point or another. And that's already a step above the kind of hands-on life experience a pre-schooler is working with. Microsoft has guts. It's what you get when you're the underdog; either that or you curl into a RIM and die. Microsoft is the underdog because no matter how many hundreds of millions of people use its software, the cool and the future belong to Apple. Or belonged. After yesterday's Surface event — assuming they don't fumble the execution — Gates' children may have found the weapon to stop the heirs of Jobs and turn the tide. Or at least make things exciting for everyone again. Read More >>
