We've said it once, and we're gonna say it again: battery life is the only stat that matters any more. Sadly, it's also one of the hardest to nail down in a decent, objective manner. None the less, we corralled together a Russian oligarch's wishlist of handsets, and put them to the test. Read More >>

Sony's shiny new Xperia Z may have only been on sale in the UK for a day, but the poor thing's already been hacked to hell and back. Lucky for you, that means you can root it, get rid of Sony's bloatware, and give the Xperia Z's awesome hardware the operating system it really deserves. Read More >>

The Sony Xperia Z is an incredibly important device for Sony. For the last couple of years, it's been making fairly inconsequential Android devices that even look boring in the hands of double-oh-seven. Now, the new and improved Sony is back, with the Xperia Z -- and boy, is it ever back. Read More >>

I've said it many times. I'd love to be able to charge my phone from my tablet, because, let's face it, your phone is way more important than a tablet, plus your slate has an enormous battery compared to said phone. Well, Sony's finally gone and done it. You'll be able to charge your shiny new Xperia Z from your svelte Xperia Tablet Z. Awesome. Read More >>

Sony's Xperia Z gives you the best of Sony in one package, a bundle topped by its stonking great 5" BRAVIA Reality Display. But for those times when five inches just aren't enough, one-touch mirroring tech makes sharing your mobile media with bigger displays a doddle. Read More >>
There's a lot of technology inside Sony's new Xperia Z smartphone. A high-res 1080p full HD Bravia display, a fast quad-core processor and a 13-Megapixel camera. You're going to want to take care of it. Fortunately, Sony's toughened chassis helps the Xperia Z look after itself. Read More >>
We've seen quite a fewleaks over the past weeks about Sony's new 'superphone', and quite a lot of it has been right on the money. A 5-inch 1080p-'Reality' screened beast, packing a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm S4 Pro, 2GB of RAM, LTE, a 13MP shooter, and it's waterproof to boot. Do we have a slick, new king of the Androids on our hands? Read More >>
Oh boy, the Sony leaks just keep on a-comin. According to Taiwanese site SonyXP, the Xperia Z (a.k.a. 'Yuga') will run you a sweet £400 when it starts shipping in early March. Although that's a king's ransom compared to the bargain-bucket Nexus 4, it's actually cheaper than Samsung's Note II, but packing properly high-end specs. We could have a new winner in the phablet market. [SonyXP via Techradar] Read More >>
