Oh, hey, Netflix is getting wise, finally. In its quarterly money-talking-numbers session, CEO Reed Hastings let out that Netflix is going to introduce a new $12 (£8-odd) per month plan for families that lets them stream four shows at once. Netflix currently uses Microsoft's Silverlight plugin to run its streams. It's an inelegant solution that sometimes makes for subpar and bogged down streaming experiences. But Silverlight is possibly dying! And Netflix wants to get better! So Netflix is planning to move on from streaming on Silverlight and towards HTML5 video. After an earlier false start, Tesco's ClubCard TV is finally live, and anyone with a ClubCard can now sign up for free.
