Aaaaaaand Windows RT is dead. Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 10 won't be coming to either of the Surfaces that run RT, though an update that offers some of the features will. It's Windows Phone 7 all over again.

Microsoft has made mistakes. It knows this. But as the company proved today at its Windows 10 launch event, it's also not going to stop pushing user interface design into the future. It's just getting smarter about it.
Microsoft's big Windows 10 event is on tomorrow at 5pm GMT, but you won't be able to get your hands on that new software until February, according to ZDNet. The final version of Windows 10 is expected be available much later, in autumn.
