Those of you who get your telly through a Virgin pipe will have some exciting new features to play with shortly, with the broadband provider notifying users about the impending arrival of its latest TiVo update.
The software upgrade will take the Virgin TiVo box up to version 15.2 and has already been trialled by a few users. It brings a huge number of new features, like Spotify Premium support, enhanced 'Red Button' compatibility, an updated YouTube app that's now compatible with HD video formats, a new iPlayer front-end, apparently "better" upscaling of SD content and much more.
The OS enhancement will automatically arrive on set-top boxes "between 17th and 24th November" with Virgin telling users it'll happen discretely, in the middle of night, so their X-Factor sessions will not be compromised in any way. [Pocketlint via Techradar]
