Gizmodo UK readers, you are this country's savviest tech-purchasers. But how many of you have actually set foot in one of the UK's 11 Best Buy stores, let alone actually bought anything? Judging by the comments I've seen so far, not many of you are surprised to hear the US company is pulling out of the UK market, blaming poor locations and not-low-enough prices. Best Buy had lofty ambitions for the UK, wanting to bring its tried-and-tested approach from the US to the outerskirts of this country, with low prices and humongous choice. But a little over a year after opening their first store in the UK, the company (owned partly by Carphone Warehouse) has announced it's closing all 11 stores, and won't be pursuing its promise of rolling out 200 stores across Europe.
