Someone with apparent links to Microsoft's gaming division has made some big claims about its follow up to the Xbox 360, claiming it'll be called the Xbox Loop and is a small, cheap thing with loads of Kinect functionality. Great.
The MS Nerd claims Xbox Loop will run on a "modified Win9 core" with custom hardware designed by MS and its partners around ARM architecture, featuring one central processor with "multiple dedicated assistive cores for graphics, AI, physics, sound, networking, encryption and sensors."
Plus the plan is to make it small and cheap enough that it'll help drive adoption of Microsoft's casual Kinect motion toy. With nothing set to arrive for at least a couple of years, rumours this far out could, or course, be complete nonsense. [MS Nerd via Techradar]
