Massive Supercar Smash-Up in Japan is Probably the World's Most Expensive Car Crash

By Sam Gibbs on at

What do you get when you combine a bunch of Ferraris, a Lamborghini Diablo, a Mercedes CL600, a Nissan GT-R and a Prius on a windy Japanese road? One hell of an insurance claim, that's what.

By the looks of it, some foreign supercar enthusiasts were hammering it round the Yamaguchi highway in crappy driving conditions, lost control on a wild over-take and slammed into each other.

The carnage that included 14 cars in total, looks like a Ferrari fan club meet-up gone horribly wrong and included a F512, F355, F430 and a F360. So much red twisted metal; oh the humanity of it all. Luckily it looks like no one was seriously hurt -- just their wallets. [The Telegraph, YouTube]
