VMWare's Dual Persona system is designed to help companies remotely manage smartphones. Once activated, users see a "work" toggle on their mobiles, which alters the set-up so only company-approved apps are accessible.
The good news is this'll make it much easier to use one phone for both work and your home life, but the downside is your IT man can now nuke your phone remotely. Samsung's Galaxy S II will be the first to feature VMWare's profile management code, with O2's parent company Telefonica planing to launch it in some European markets from Q2 of this year. [VMWare]
