The "Steambox" confusion of last month has reared up again today, despite the very firm denial from Valve that it was planning any form of hardware launch. It's now advertising for someone to "conceive, design, evaluate, and produce new types of input, output, and platform hardware."
The successful candidate for Valve's Electronics Engineer position will "work with the hardware team to conceive, design, evaluate, and produce new types of input, output, and platform hardware," which sounds like a rather firm move into the physical, actual, in-the-shops hardware world is indeed on the cards.
Although it doesn't necessarily mean anything as exciting as a gaming console or PC is coming. Valve could just be planning a Half-Life-branded mouse. [CVG]
