As part of a final project for a photography class, two students at Kingston University swallowed 35mm film and let their internal organs do the heavy lifiting for them. After "collecting" the slides in a dark room, they fixed the silver and scanned the film with an electron microscope. The result is quite lovely.
Admittedly, when equipped with an electron microscope, it's almost more difficult to produce an image that isn't beautiful. But the entire process of creating these images, and the unorthodox way in which the body is used adds a fun little twist to the finished product. [Luke Evans and Josh Lake via Creative Review]
