The world's biggest and most popular e-tailer, Amazon, will be opening a new digital media development centre in London to work on key projects for the business and to make Boris Johnson a very happy man.
The Kindle-creating company are set to base the office in Glasshouse Yard, near Barbican tube, and the project is set to bring teams from LoveFilm and Pushbutton to work together on a range of projects involving interactive digital services. These range from televisions, tablets and phones to websites as well as the development of new APIs. Who knows what they're going to be cooking up exactly though.
