If you are the lucky owner of a brand new Samsung GALAXY Note II then you need to check out our Air View Walkthrough and Benefits video below, which details how you can quickly and conveniently preview info, images and videos on your device without the need to change screens, saving you time by simply hovering your S Pen over the screen.

The GALAXY Note II is Samsung’s follow-up to the hugely successful GALAXY Note. This next-gen smartphone comes packing a whole raft of new features. In the above video, we explore Samsung’s timesaving Air View feature.

Air View makes fantastic use of Samsung’s S Pen to let the user preview information, pictures or videos on the GALAXY Note II without the need to switch screens.

So, for example, if you wanted to take a quick look at a calendar appointment on your S Planner in more detail, but don’t want to lose an overview of the month, you simply hover your S Pen over the date in question and up pops a preview detailing all the info you need.

Similarly, if you wish to quickly scan the contents of an email or text but don’t want to get bogged down jumping in and out of your inbox, a quick hover of the S Pen lets you preview the content of your messages simply and effectively.

Air View is also a great tool for quickly browsing through all of your photos and videos on the GALAXY Note II’s 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen.

Instead of playing each video separately, simply place the S Pen over the video thumbnail and up pops, and plays, a quick preview of its content.

Additionally, Air View also lets you scan quickly through a single video’s content from start to finish without the need to interrupt your viewing experience. Just hover your S Pen over your selected video’s timeline and the preview bubble appears, letting you see what’s coming up further down the line.

And finally, for all you photo fiends getting the best pics from the GALAXY Note II’s eight megapixel camera, Air View works to help you swiftly preview all the images inside an album, meaning you can scan multiple albums at breakneck speeds to find that misplaced snap in seconds.
