This month's hot new browser blockbuster is Chrome XXVIII, with Google's web team now making the 28th major version of its ever more popular browser live for all mainstream users.

The key features of Chrome 28, which have been available to user of the beta and developer channels for some time already, are support for the Blink rendering engine instead of the old Webkit system, plus rich notifications for Google services like Hangouts and Gmail that should now magically appear on your computer as and when the hive brain pings them out to you.
