"Tech Levels" are the New A-Level Equivalent for Practical Students, Apparently

By Gary Cutlack on at

The government plans to further alter the educational system by introducing Tech Levels, which will be an A-Level equivalent qualification for those taking skills-based vocational courses. When will the government's education meddling end?

To give these training-based courses a more clear sense of value, employers and trade associations will be asked to endorse the qualifications, which should ensure there's some sort of unified, reliable grading system in place for those learning practical skills instead of going down the traditional study-based A-Level route.

Courses starting from September 2014 will be eligible for this new occupational grading. [Gov.uk via Computer World]
