Not too long ago,
real-life Tony Stark Elon Musk was talking on Twitter about wanting to design rocket parts using something awfully like the 3D hologram interface we've seen in Iron Man. Well here it is — complete with Leap Motion. It's not quite there, but it's still freakin' awesome.
When the Leap Motion first came out, we were wowed by how well it works, but a little let down by the fact that, well, there's not much to do with it. There still might not be much to do with it for you and me, but leave it to Spaceman McFuture to put it through its paces and tease out a little bit of that unique potential.
We're not quite at free-floating manipulatable hologram territory yet, but that's just a technicality at this point. The future is knocking; it's here with those hologram-designed, 3d-printed rocket parts you ordered.
