Who said the Koreans don't love a good game of one-upmanship? After seeing Samsung's astoundingly good OLED UHD TV yesterday, and its existing curved OLED screens, LG's taken things a whole stage further with its insane, larger 77-inch curved OLED UHD TV. Chew on that, Samsung.
In what seems like a recap of the LCD size wars of the mid-2000s, LG's TV is bigger, curved and supposedly better, although it kind of has to say that, right?
It's only a prototype right now, just like Samsung's 4K OLED, and while I think curved TVs are just a complete gimmick that doesn't even benefit the customer (hello? What happened to viewing angles?), it makes me laugh to see the "mine's bigger than yours" war still gets the TV manufacturers in a tizz. I'd hate to think how much it costs to produce these things, but that's progress for you.
