Broadband Minister Admits to being "Useless" in Bizarre Hotel Bust-up

Ed Vaizey, the UK's minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, and therefore the man in charge of the botched broadband delivery system, has admitted to being "useless" during a weird altercation in a hotel after the Conservative party conference.

The quote comes via a Metro reporter, who claims to have overheard an argument between Vaizey and an unnamed woman in a hotel corridor. Leaving a media event, the woman is said to have said to Vaizey: "You’re completely useless. You may be a government minister but you are completely useless."

To which Vaizey laughed a bit and said: "That’s so true." People conducting internet speed tests outside of major towns and cities will almost certainly agree. [Metro]
