Flight of the Conchords' Bret McKenzie to Write NASA Animated TV Show

It's business time: Bret McKenzie, Oscar winning mate of the Muppets and he of Flight of the Conchords fame, is said to be working on an animated TV show about NASA.

Headed initially to the US's Fox network (home of The Simpsons and Family Guy), McKenzie is thought to be putting the show together alongside some of the writing talent from King of the Hill. According to TV Guide:

The untitled workplace comedy follows the exploits of a group of employees toiling away at an almost-obsolete NASA space center in Boulder, Colorado. McKenzie hasn't yet committed to voicing a part on the show, but that remains a possibility.

Here's hoping that Bret's Conchords co-star Jemaine Clement can make a quick cameo appearance, preferably in the guise of the original "Starman", David Bowie:
