Assange Says Wikileaks Film is "Overwhelmingly Negative" and Based on a "Deceitful Book"

Even if he could, it's unlikely Julian Assange would want to watch Wikileaks dramatisation The Fifth Estate at the cinema this weekend, with an open letter from the Wikileaks man suggesting the film's a "toxic" creation that portrays everyone involved in a bad light.

Assange is clearly going a bit bonkers in that embassy bedsit of his, as his lengthy open letter to Cumberbatch from earlier this year includes some corking prose, like this romantic little section:

"If the film reaches distribution we will forever be correlated in the public imagination. Our paths will be forever entwined. Each of us will be granted standing to comment on the other for many years to come and others will compare our characters and trajectories."

Forever will they be correlated and entwined, like a civil partnership. Assange also claims Cumberbatch is being used as a "hired gun" by the film's producers to help assassinate truth, also asking Cumberbatch to quit the production. He's not happy. [Wikileaks via IGN]
